Connects the watch directly to the vehicle. After initial setup, no phone or internet connection is required. The app must be open to lock or unlock the vehicle.
Account connection and vehicle access.
Authorise your Tesla account at teslacontrol.net, then enter the six-character code from your dashboard to link the watch and make your vehicles available in the app.
For Internet Mode, use Pair Virtual Key on your dashboard and approve the request in the Tesla app. If the notification does not appear, press the pairing button again. This is separate from pairing the watch's Bluetooth key; Watch Key does not require this step.
Your vehicle VIN is saved directly on your watch and used to identify your Tesla during Bluetooth connections.
Open the Watch Key settings to set up or test the Bluetooth key and manage automatic connection options.
Shows the latest Internet Mode vehicle information, including lock status, battery level, cabin temperature and last update time.
A fully customisable watch face that displays all your vehicle data and opens the app with one tap, combining quick access with a beautiful Tesla-inspired design. Free to download, subscription required.
In Tesla Key Pro, automatic actions are under Settings > Behavior. In Key & Companion, they are under Bluetooth settings; Touch to Confirm is in Settings.
Pair the watch directly with your Tesla. Sit inside the vehicle with the physical key card and confirm the new key on the car screen.
Checks whether the saved Bluetooth key can connect and authenticate with the selected vehicle.
Automatically authorizes driving after the watch connects. If you do not start driving within two minutes after unlocking, authorization expires and you must use the steering-wheel button in the app.
Automatically unlocks the selected vehicle after an authenticated Bluetooth connection is established.
Sends a wake request when the watch connects. This is not necessary when Unlock on Connect is enabled.
After a successful unlock command from the watch over Bluetooth, automatically authorises driving. It does not run after an Internet Mode unlock or when the car is unlocked elsewhere.
Vibrates when the watch receives a change to locked over Bluetooth. Keep the app open and connected; enabling this option does not lock the car.

Shows the final characters of the saved key, helping you identify the key assigned to each vehicle.
Classic and Animated layouts in Tesla Key Pro and Tesla Control - Key & Companion.
Animated shows a three-quarter vehicle view that transitions to a top view. It is available only on supported AMOLED watches with Wi-Fi and is the default when no layout has been saved. MIP and other unsupported watches keep Classic and do not show this selector.
The settings shown depend on the selected layout. Animated groups them under Vehicle Customisation, Main View and More View. Switching layouts keeps your downloaded vehicles.
Tesla Key Pro lets you choose Red or Blue. In Key & Companion, colours follow the connection mode: red for Internet and blue for Bluetooth.
Adjust the vehicle artwork shown in the app.
Animated offers Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck. Selecting artwork does not change the vehicle controlled by the app; switch the active vehicle first. Classic artwork depends on the watch.
Animated offers White, Red, Burgundy, Black, Dark Gray, Gray and Blue for Model 3/Y/S/X. Cybertruck is available only in Gray.
Animated offers Normal and Big (125% of Normal). The bundled dark-gray Model 3 uses the default size for your screen. Select a size before downloading; Classic has its own size controls.
In Animated, select the active vehicle, then choose its artwork model, colour and size before starting Wi-Fi sync on the watch. A bundled Model 3 works without a download. Each VIN keeps one downloaded pack for offline use; a successful replacement removes the previous pack, while a failed download keeps it. Repeat for each vehicle.
Removes the downloaded artwork for the selected VIN and returns to the bundled vehicle.
In Animated, moves the vehicle vertically on both views and throughout the animation.
Fine-tune both command screens for your watch.
Adjust Frunk, Lock & Drive, Charge and Trunk button sizes and positions. Lock & Drive move as a pair: negative horizontal values separate them; positive values bring them together.
Adjust the Top, Mid and Bottom button pairs independently. Horizontal movement is mirrored on the right. The Settings button has its own size and vertical position. Order Menu rearranges only the six command buttons.
Shows or hides the lines from the Frunk, Charge and Trunk buttons to the vehicle. They follow the vehicle's position and downloaded artwork.
Key & Companion only: adjust the mode button's size and position. When focused, its gauge is red for the Internet icon and blue for Bluetooth. Hide Internet Mode hides the Internet shortcut while using Bluetooth; it does not disable Internet access.
The controls below apply to Classic. Animated uses the Main View and More View groups described above.
Adjust the size of the four buttons in the Main Menu.
Move the Main Menu buttons closer to the vehicle or towards the edge of the screen.
Adjust the size of the command buttons in the More Menu.
Move the upper row of More Menu buttons vertically.
Move the lower row of More Menu buttons vertically.
